Join this session to learn about opportunities to engage patients in your facility QAPI meeting. In the context of dialysis facilities, QAPI (Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement) is a system for continuously improving the quality of care. Patients are encouraged to participate in QAPI meetings and activities, ensuring their voices and concerns are heard and incorporated into facility-wide improvements. This patient engagement helps create a culture of shared responsibility for improvement and leads to better patient outcomes.
Objectives:
Clarify methods to maintain confidentiality of other patients while engaging patients in QAPI.
Identify two ways to incorporate patients into the QAPI process.
Recognize the importance of patient participation.
