The Renal Healthcare Association has developed a valuable resource to meet the educational needs of new hires and seasoned employees seeking additional support with the fundamentals of dialysis and patient care. This on-demand comprehensive program encompasses instructor-led pre-recorded sessions, supplemental resources, and assessments. Participants gain access to nine user-friendly learning modules covering a range of topics crucial for training, as recommended in the Dialysis Technician Core Curriculum.
The program addresses essential subjects such as patient care, infection control, professionalism, procedures, dialysis principles, vascular access, equipment, water treatment, and emergency planning -- ensuring that professionals in the field are well-prepared to provide exceptional care to patients.
How it Works
The Fundamentals of Dialysis and Patient Care program occurs via on-demand instructor-led sessions divided into nine modules. Each module is supported with study guides and individual quizzes, culminating with a final exam. Students have 75 days to complete the course. Upon completion of the final exam, students receive a certificate of completion and can apply for continuing education credits.
Investment
This program is an RHA Member Benefit at no additional cost — $250 per non-member student. Up to 9 continuing education credits are available for an additional fee.
