Danilo Concepcion has been a dialysis practitioner since 1975 and is currently the Operations Manager, Renal Services for Providence St. Joseph Hospital, Orange, CA. Prior to his entering the dialysis field, he was a corpsman in the Navy during the Vietnam era. He is experienced in the clinical, technological, research and administrative areas of dialysis. He is an executive committee member and project committees for numerous dialysis related organizations, and is a prolific national and international speaker and writer and has been published in numerous professional journals and has been a contributing author on several dialysis manuals and APIC Elimination Guide – Guide to the Elimination of Infection in Hemodialysis; a member of the Renal and Disease Detoxification Committee since 2000 for AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) that develops the American standards and recommended practice for dialysis; a member of the American Society of Nephrology/Centers for Disease and Prevention “Nephrologist Transforming Dialysis Safety Project Committee;” NKF’s ECHO project faculty; and, Dialysis Safety Workgroup for CDC Making Dialysis Safer Coalition. He is also on the Editorial Advisory Board for Nephrology News and Issues and currently on the ESRD Network 18 Advisory Committee. He also operates Renal Logistics, LLC, a dialysis consulting firm.
