The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Surveys

Includes a Live Web Event on 01/13/2026 at 2:00 PM (EST)

Surveys can be smooth—or they can get messy. This session gives dialysis administrators the opportunity to hear from a CMS surveyor about: the wins, the pitfalls, and the surprises that leave administrators saying, “Where did that come from?” Participants will learn how to communicate effectively with surveyors (especially under pressure), effective policy development , and how one small oversight can unravel into bigger issues through a process we call “pulling the thread.” We’ll break down the structure of a Core Survey from entrance to exit, explore what surveyors are really looking for, and give you a chance to ask, “What have you always wanted to ask a surveyor—but were afraid to” Come ready for practical tools, real talk, and lessons learned the hard way.
