    Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Tainesha Owens blends purpose with joy in everything she does. An artist, licensed social worker, and curator of joy, she treats her work as both a calling and a creative practice. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work degrees from The Ohio State University, dedicating her time to creating spaces of belonging, healing, and empowerment for students and the wider community.

    Her leadership as President of the Black Graduate and Professional Student Caucus centered mental health and wellness as essential to collective success, work that earned her the 2022 National Association of Social Workers (OH) Student of the Year Award. Beyond campus, she channels her passion for well-being into The Bold Joy Movement, a platform dedicated to cultivating joy as a form of nourishment, wellness, and restoration in various communities.

    Tainesha moves through every space, committed to pouring into the communities she joins, working alongside the people who make those spaces what they are. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she serves on the I Be Black Girl Blac Fund Council and works as a social worker with Veterans Affairs NWI. In each role, she centers collaboration, care, and the collective well-being of those she serves. For Tainesha, joy is not a fleeting moment but a deliberate practice of survival, one tool among many in the sacred work of sustaining ourselves in this world to transform lives and fortify communities as boldly as possible.

    Callie Murphy serves as the Clinical Care Leader at Sanford Dialysis on the Red Lake Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota. A dedicated Registered Nurse, she has been a vital part of the team for 9 years, initially serving as a charge nurse before stepping into her leadership role over the past six years.

    In her current position, Callie focuses on improving patient outcomes and implementing quality care practices, demonstrating a strong commitment to both clinical excellence and culturally sensitive care.

    Outside of her nursing career, Callie enjoys life on the family farm with her significant other and two sons. Together, they raise cattle and chickens and harvest crops—living out the values of hard work and community both in and out of the clinic.

    Jackie Keller, BSN, RN, CDN

    Jackie Keller is a dialysis nurse with over two decades of experience in peritoneal, inpatient and outpatient care. Since 2018, she has served as the manager of the Sanford Fort Yates dialysis unit bringing leadership and a deep commitment to culturally appropriate care.

    Jackie proudly serves on the  Standing Rock Indian Reservation, where both she and her husband were raised. She is honored to provide care to people in the community where she grew up. She is also on the Sitting Bull College Nursing Advisory Board.

    Outside of work, Jackie enjoys supporting her 3 children in their sports activities and working with her husband on their farm and ranch operation.

    Tiffaney Holm, BSN RN

    Tiffaney Holm is a registered nurse with 16 years of dialysis experience. She is currently managing two units, White Earth Dialysis and Sanford Dialysis Detroit Lakes, both located in MN.  She partners with White Earth Indian Reservation and is passionate about providing culturally appropriate and patient centered care. She has had the honor of presenting at the RHA Annual Conference in 2024 and participating in an infection prevention series with the ASN.

    Outside of work Tiffaney loves spending time on the family farm with her husband, children and grandchild and she is also active in her church as the youth leader.

    Jessi Baker, RN

    Jessi Baker is a Registered Nurse with eight years of experience in dialysis care. She currently serves as the Nurse Manager at the Sanford Dialysis Unit in New Town, North Dakota, and is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with plans to graduate in the spring of 2026.

    A proud tribal member of the Three Affiliated Tribes, Jessi is also the President of The Pink Ladies, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting cancer awareness and assistance efforts in Mountrail County, North Dakota.

    Outside of her nursing career, Jessi is a devoted dog mom to three beautiful Blue Heelers. She enjoys team roping, playing darts, and golfing year-round — activities that reflect her energetic and well-rounded approach to life.

    One of the biggest things we can do to make our DOH surveys easier is to develop policies that are evidenced based, clear, and support our staff processes. This presentation discusses the basics of policy development and implementation.  Topics covered include: The importance of having policies as an organization, how to identify an issue that requires a policy, how to form an inter-disciplinary policy committee, where to find the necessary resources to write an effective policy, how to develop and write a new policy, and most importantly how to effectively implement a policy within the organization.  Attendees will begin writing a policy during this presentation so come with ideas!

    Naomi began her nursing career in 1995 after graduating with a bachelor of arts in nursing from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She started her dialysis career in November of 2001 working in the Hemodialysis unit in Detroit Lakes, MN. Now, with almost 24 years of dialysis experience, her career has included in-center hemodialysis, 10 + years working in peritoneal and home hemodialysis, 15+ years of  policy and procedure development and review as chair and co-chair for both in-center and home dialysis, and various other task forces to improve outcomes for patients.

    Danilo Concepcion has been a dialysis practitioner since 1975 and is currently the Operations Manager, Renal Services for Providence St. Joseph Hospital, Orange, CA. Prior to his entering the dialysis field, he was a corpsman in the Navy during the Vietnam era. He is experienced in the clinical, technological, research and administrative areas of dialysis. He is an executive committee member and project committees for numerous dialysis related organizations, and is a prolific national and international speaker and writer and has been published in numerous professional journals and has been a contributing author on several dialysis manuals and APIC Elimination Guide – Guide to the Elimination of Infection in Hemodialysis; a member of the Renal and Disease Detoxification Committee since 2000 for AAMI (Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation) that develops the American standards and recommended practice for dialysis; a member of the American Society of Nephrology/Centers for Disease and Prevention “Nephrologist Transforming Dialysis Safety Project Committee;” NKF’s ECHO project faculty; and, Dialysis Safety Workgroup for CDC Making Dialysis Safer Coalition. He is also on the Editorial Advisory Board for Nephrology News and Issues and currently on the ESRD Network 18 Advisory Committee. He also operates Renal Logistics, LLC, a dialysis consulting firm.
